The NGM would check the price of pork
The Ministry of National Economy (NGM) will chech whether the 22-percentage-point VAT rate cut will appear in the price of pork or not, and if necessary, will take action – Pankucsi Zoltán, the Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy told M1 news channel on Monday.
Next year, the Value Added Tax (VAT) on pork carcase will be reduced from 27 to 5 percent. The tax measure is only meaningful if the 25 billion HUF budget revenue loss will remain at the consumers and will not be swallowed by the traders – Pankucsi Zoltán added. (MTI)
