The MNB raised its inflation forecast for this year to 7.5-9.8 percent

MNB raises high inflation forecast
The previous December Inflation Report included 4.7-5.1 percent inflation this year and a 4-5 percent GDP expectation.
The MNB still expects that the rise in consumer prices will start to decline from 2022, with inflation likely to be 3.3-5.0 percent in 2023 and 2.5-3.5 percent in 2024, according to the latest forecast.
In December, the central bank still expected inflation to be between 2.5 and 3.5 percent in 2023 and 2024. (MTI)
