IPOSZ supports micro-enterprises by strengthening industrial associations
The National Association of Industrial Associations (IPOSZ) is focusing this year on strengthening the infrastructure of industrial associations so that they can help micro-enterprises that turn to them locally with services based on this – László Németh, president of the national association, told MTI on Wednesday, following the annual general meeting of the interest representation, after the board discussed, among other things, the 2025 action program.
He said that according to their survey last year on the technical equipment and background of industrial associations, local industrial associations work under different conditions.
It turned out that local industrial associations have not received much support for their operations in recent years, and quite a few have even lost their headquarters. At the same time, 72 percent of them still operate in their own premises, 50 percent are open every day, provide services, and more than 70 percent would also take on additional tasks.
The president of IPOSZ called it important for industrialists to learn about business-related information in good time, and service industry associations will play a key role in this.
Assisting with digitalized matters could be a new service for industry associations. As an example, he mentioned that digitalization has also caught up with small businesses, while the smallest ones are not the most qualified in this area and have significant shortcomings. Older entrepreneurs may have problems using the Cégkapu or Ügyfélkapu systems, through which official correspondence is conducted.
Businesses must also prepare for the fact that utility providers will only issue electronic invoices from July 1, and utility bills received by e-mail must be kept for 5 years.
László Németh also mentioned that it puts industry associations in a difficult position not to receive energy as part of the universal service. The association will lobby for their return to the universal service.
The National Association of Industrial Associations (IPOSZ) is one of the largest national employers’ and professional associations of Hungarian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, consisting of 156 legally independent industrial associations. Of these, 137 are regionally organized and 19 are national professional associations, and they do not have natural person members.
IPOSZ currently represents 40,000 small enterprises, the typical size of the enterprise is 1-10 employees and sole proprietorships. The enterprises represented by the association carry out service, production and transportation activities in more than 200 crafts and small-scale industries.
