Despite inflation, Euronics’ online sales are growing
In the past year, most people bought a hot-air oven in the Euronics webshop, but Hungarian customers are now boldly ordering large household appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines online. According to the technical store, the number of customers registered on the web is increasing every year, and although the effect of inflation is currently being felt, e-commerce still accounts for an ever-larger slice of the company’s sales.
One year ago, the Euronics webshop was renovated inside and out. The development was necessary because the online traffic of the store network more than doubled between 2018 and 2021, and in parallel with the dynamic development, the expectations of consumers regarding online shopping also rose continuously. The importance of the project was of course confirmed by the period of the pandemic – however, interest in the webshop has been growing steadily ever since.
“The online sales channel is gaining more and more space in the life of Euronics, which has been continuously developing since its inception. In recent years, various unexpected influencing market factors have helped the development of Hungarian e-commerce, which is why the performance of our online store is also above expectations.”
– said Csaba Monostori, Euronics e-commerce manager.
