Indotek Group acquires 47 percent of Auchan Magyarország Kft
The Indotek Group signed an agreement on the purchase of 47 percent of Auchan Magyarország Kft., which controls the retail activities of the Auchan department store chain and owns several of its stores and gas station networks, as well as the legal entities that own 100 percent of the business premises operating in the core area of the Auchan department stores, the parties involved in the transaction announced on Wednesday. I’m afraid.
According to the announcement sent to MTI, with the transaction, the Indotek Group appears as a financial investor in the domestic Auchan supermarket chain, which is majority-owned by the French Mulliez family. As part of the agreement, Auchan’s current management will continue to manage the chain’s retail activities after the transaction.
Through the strategic partnership between the European retail giant and Indotek Group, Auchan can expand with new stores in Indotek’s existing commercial properties. In this way, the chain’s products can become available to a significantly wider range of customers in new rural settlements.
