The IMF has improved its forecast growth for the Hungarian economy
The IMF has raised its annual growth forecast for Hungary this year by 0.3 percentage points to 3.2 percent in its autumn regional economic forecast from the 2.9 percent forecasted in the April report.
Next year’s growth forecast was increased from 3.0 percent to 3.4 percent, the 2019 growth was increased from 2.6 percent to 2.8 percent.
According to the IMF, the domestic demand will increase by 1.4 percent this year, 3.5 percent next year, and by 2.7 percent in 2019 in Hungary. In the spring prognosis, the IMF forecasted a 3.1 percent growth for this year, 3.0 percent for 2018 and 2.2 percent for 2019. (MTI)
