IKSZ appointed a new director
IKSZ – The Italos Karton Egyesülés (IKSZ) appointed Ágnes Nyikos as the organization’s new director on September 10. The new manager has extensive and relevant experience in waste management policies, international relations and project management.
The IKSZ is the association of Hungarian beverage carton manufacturers (Tetra Pak Hungária Zrt., SIG Combibloc GmbH & CO KG, Elopak Kft.) who consider it important to draw attention to the environmental and economic benefits of beverage cartons. The organization advocates and promotes the selective collection of beverage cartons in Hungary for the sake of environmental protection, recycling of valuable raw materials and energy saving. Similar national organizations operating in the European Union are brought together by ACE (The Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment – www.ace.be).
Ágnes Nyikos previously worked for 17 years at a non-profit organization bringing together waste management and environmental protection companies, where she initially worked as a manager responsible for international relations and later as an executive director. In addition, at the National Waste Management and Asset Management Co., Ltd., he worked as a strategic associate and project manager on waste management infrastructure projects in Hungary.
“It is exciting and a great challenge to join IKSZ in this period”
– said Ágnes Nyikos. “Sustainability is close to my heart, I trust in successful cooperation with other players to achieve our common goals, which can significantly contribute to Hungary’s environmental sustainability.”
