IKEA terminates disposable plastic products soon
Disposable plastic products, including disposable plastic drinking straws, plates, glasses, cutlery and freezer bags are withdrawn from all IKEA markets from 1 January – IKEA told MTI.
In the communication, Vladimir Vísek, the Czech-Hungarian-Slovak region’s sustainability manager, explained the purpose of the measure is to encourage customers to use products for a long time and to prefer products that have been made sustainably, such as recycled PET bottles. (MTI)
