The growth of industry and the exports offset the falling agriculture and consumption
The Central Statistical offoice reported the same GDP data as the first flash estimations. On an annual comparision, GDP grew by only 1 percent in the second quarter, although the benchmark was low, due to the crisis.
The lag in the second quarter was 6 percent, compared to 2008. The economy is virtually stagnant, there was no moving forward in the second quarter, compared to the first. Thanks to the manufacturing industry and the export growth, the GDP remained positive – reports Népszabadság Online.
