European Union’s Court of Auditors on dairy market
According to the EU Court of Auditors report; The EU should pay attention of the domestic dairy market needs and the adequate standard living for farmers, instead of dismantling the regulation of the sector.
According to estimations, EU has more than one million dairy farmers, who produce annually 148 million tonnes of milk in a value of 41 billion euros. The dairy industry, mostly produces cheese, butter and milk, employes about 400,000 people and has a 120 billion euros turnover – reports tozsdeforum.hu.
Hungarian-related news is that next year quota support arrives today, which is a total of 16 billion HUF, for the Hungarian dairy farmers – reports Népszabadság Online.
