The European Commission announced to restrict the usage of preservatives containing allergens in cosmetic products
The European Commission announced to restrict the usage of preservatives containing allergens in cosmetic products.
The Board took its decision after the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) proposed prohibition on certain substances, after careful risk assessment.
Because of the measures adopted by the European Commission, the concentration volumes of two preservatives – propyl paraben and butyl paraben – will be suppressed from the current – 0.4 to 0.14 percent. (MTI)
