The European Commission has proposed amending the VAT rules and alcohol tax
The European Commission has proposed a modification of the rules on value added tax (VAT) and the reform of EU rules on excise duties on alcohol – the EU commission said on Friday.
The VAT package will facilitate the operation of EU companies and will put an end to the “transitional” VAT regulations applied for 25 years in the single market.
As it is said, to create the definitive VAT system nearly 200 articles have to be adjusted from the 408 articles of the EU VAT Law.
