The European Commission proposes more transparent and predictable working conditions
The European Commission has adopted a new proposal for a directive on more transparent and predictable working conditions, which supplements and updates existing obligations under which workers should be informed about their working conditions – Marianne Thyssen, Ministerial Commissioner responsible for Employment, Social Affairs and Labor Skills and Mobility announced.
Thyssen said that there is a growing number of unconventional jobs and contracts in the labor market, which means that more and more workers are at risk of not having their basic rights, including the right to be aware of their working conditions. Therefore, the proposal provides new minimum requirements to provide more predictable and more unequivocal working conditions. (MTI)
