Hungarians use fewer cell phone functions than the European average
Hungarians use cell phones – in addition to phone calls – mostly to send SMS messages (72 percent), to take photographs (58 percent), or to leave messages (52 percent) – shows Nielsen’s February survey.
19 percent of the respondents downloads or listens music with cell phones. 18-18 percent plays or using it as a global positioning system. 16 percent has access to community networks with cell phones. A further 15 percent is surfing on the Internet.
Other functions is being used by less than 10 percent of the respondents. Most of them named mobile banking (7 percent).
The most important options are: voice mail (52 percent), SMS (24 percent), and photo options (6 percent).
