The EU would encourage global e-commerce
The European Union (EU) seeks to introduce international rules that would encourage global e-commerce, making it easier for businesses in the sector – especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – to gain confidence in the online environment of consumers – theForeign Ministers of the Member States of the European Union said in Brussels on Monday.
According to information from the EU Council, 48 other members of the European Union and the World Trade Organization (WTO) decided in January 2019 at the World Economic Forum in Davos to start negotiations on the introduction of global rules on e-commerce. (MTI)
