The EU would introduce legislation to reduce the use of plant protection products
The European Commission on Wednesday proposed legally binding targets for reducing the use of chemical pesticides and restoring nature and biodiversity in the EU.
Under the proposal, the EU would reduce the use of chemical plant protection products by 50% by 2030, and EU governments should report regularly on progress towards the targets. (Andits Eszter, MTI)
