EU to spend €554 million this year on food security in the Sahel and Lake Chad
Due to the worsening food and nutrition security situation in the wake of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the European Union has decided to spend 554 million euros (about 205 billion forints) in 2022 to improve food supplies in the Sahel and lake Chad region, the European Commission said on Wednesday.
