The producer price of edible wheat rose by 12 percent
According to Tallage’s information in June, the spot market price of 12.5 percent protein milling wheat in Germany (FOB Hamburg) increased by $15 to $292/ton between May 13 and June 10. On the other hand, the immediate export price (FOB) of milled wheat arriving in Rouen decreased by $8 to $266, July by $21 to $255, October and December by $13 to $269 and $271, respectively.
11.5 percent protein mill wheat (FOB) produced in Russia for immediate delivery was available at $232/t (+$17) and 12.5 percent protein at $250/t (+$25) on June 10 . In Romania and Bulgaria, the spot market price of mill wheat per ton was USD 270 (+ USD 35) in the indicated period. In the USA, the spot export price of soft red winter wheat (SRW) decreased by $8 to $245/ton, and that of 11 percent protein hard red winter wheat (HRW) decreased by $6 to $269/ton. In Argentina, the immediate export price of the 12 percent protein crop rose by $16 to $294/ton (Tallage).
In Hungary, according to AKI PÁIR data, edible wheat was traded at an average producer price of HUF 72.4 thousand per ton without VAT and transport costs in the second week of June
This price level exceeded the previous year by 12 percent. Feed wheat traded for HUF 70.7 thousand/ton (+16 percent) at the same time. On the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME/CBOT), the July quotation for wheat fluctuated in the range of $206-230/ton between June 10 and 21. At the same time, the September settlement price of the crop on the Paris commodity exchange (Euronext/MATIF) ranged from 225 to 247 euros/ton.
