ESG due diligence is increasingly common in corporate acquisitions
Despite a slowdown in the global economic environment for acquisitions, 70% of leading investors have placed a strong emphasis on ESG due diligence prior to acquisitions and mergers over the past year and a half, reveals an international survey by KPMG International. More than 600 business decision makers were interviewed and 70% of respondents reported an increase in the importance of ESG due diligence, while five out of four executives now explicitly take these aspects into consideration when making acquisition decisions.
