ESFA is examining smoke flavor
According to the recent report of the European Food Safety Authority; Some flavor, consumed in large quantities can be harmful which flavors are used to produce smoked flavored products.
The Authority requests additional informations from the manufacturers, and draw up the list of risk-free ingredients.
The food industry uses the smoke flavor, instead of the traditional long smoking procedure, for all the products, which are purchased because of their smoked flavor. The additives are put into meat, fish, soups and sauces – reports hirszerzo.hu.
