The European Parliament supports stricter rules to reduce the amount of plastic waste
At the plenary session of the European Parliament (EP) on Wednesday, the European Parliament voted on the proposal to tighten rules on the reduction of plastic waste; banning the sale of disposable plastic products that can be easily and cheaply replaced.
At the meeting in Strasbourg, the resolution was adopted with large majority at 571: 53, banning cotton buds, cutlery, plates, suction straws, beverage mixers and balloon sticks that should have been made of exclusively from sustainable materials from 2021. (MTI, Bajnok Artúr)
