Consumers to be free to order online
In the future, consumers will have the freedom to choose where they can order via the net, because online retailers can not refuse their purchase intention on the basis of their nationality, inhabitancy or place of residence, and they can not divert them to other websites – the European Parliament (EP) voted yes on this legislation at its plenary session.
According to a press release, a Commission study by the EU revealed that almost two-thirds of the websites involved in the survey did not allow buyers from other EU countries to buy, while the number of online buyers in Europe over the last ten years almost doubled. (MTI)
