EMAG was able to record 34 billion from its first Hungarian business year
EMAG has been a Hungarian-registered web store for a year now. The background company, Extreme Digital-eMAG kft., Is also a market leader. Kifli.hu also had its first year.
The eMAG web store has been operated by the Hungarian registered Dante International Kft since April 2019. Prior to that, Hungarian customers of the eMAG web store signed a contract with the Bucharest-based company Dante International, and the background was the South African-based Naspers group. And in order to have more screws in the events, from September 2020 the Hungarian company changed its name to Extreme Digital-eMAG Ltd.Now the company runs under this name, but the name of its website – eMAG.hu – has not changed. And following previous developments and acquisitions, it is the sole shareholder of Extreme Digital, which is also indicated by the new name. Extreme Digital, on the other hand, joined eMAG as an owner through the asset management company ED-Group, with only a minority stake and rights, of course. The management of the two companies – Extreme Digital and eMAG, ie Extreme Digital-eMAG Kft – has the same composition, of course the decision-making rights are ultimately that of eMAG.
