In the first eight months, the number of guest nights increased by 4.2 percent in Romania
In the first eight months, the number of guest nights increased by 4.2 percent to 19.569 million, compared to the same period of last year – according to the Romanian National Statistical Institute.
More than 80 percent of the tourists were Romanian guests, who spent on average 2,3 nights, while foreigners spent an average of 1.9 guest nights at commercial accommodation.
Most foreign tourists came from Germany (224,600), Israel (192,100), Italy (162,500) and Hungary (116,700). (MTI)
