The number of tourists in Croatia increased by 22 percent in the first half of the year
In the first half of the year, the number of tourists grew by 22 percent and the number of guest nights grew by 23 percent in Croatia over the same period last year – according to Poslovni Dnevnik business daily.
According to the data of the eVisitor system launched last year by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism, 5.7 million foreign and domestic guests spent 22.9 million nights in the country by the end of June.
Most of the guest nights were spent by the Germans (4.9 million), followed by the Austrians (2.2 million), Slovenes (nearly 2 million), British (1.3 million) and Poles (1.1 million) . (Kriják Krisztina, MTI)
