Romanian retail sales increased by 18 percent in the first half of the year
The volume of Romanian retail sales increased by 18 percent in the first half of the year, compared to the same period of last year – the Romanian national statistical institute announced on Wednesday.
According to the seasonal and calendar adjusted data, the growth reached 16 percent. The increase is mainly due to the food, beverage and tobacco sales that were expanded by 24.1 percent. Non-food sales accelerated by 16.4 percent, while fuel sales increased by 11.4 percent. (MTI)
