More than 63,000 products saved, more than 21 million forints saved for customers! – this was the first hundred days of PRÍMA OUTLET. And the good is only now coming!

PRÍMA OUTLET is Hungary’s first food outlet store – part of the Príma supermarket located in the Récsei Center in Budapest. Even during its short operation, it has proven that sustainability and favorable prices can go hand in hand. Since opening, we have saved more than 63,000 products from waste, thus preventing the emission of approximately 44 tons* of carbon dioxide. Thus preventing the emission of approximately 44 tons* of carbon dioxide. This is as much of an environmental impact as saving an average Hungarian family 17 years of electricity consumption if we had used 2600kWh in the calculation.

For customers, this not only brings environmental benefits, but also significant financial benefits: since opening, 21,737,043 forints have been saved** thanks to the outlet prices, while all products represent the well-known PRIMA quality. This means that our customers save an average of 300-400 HUF per product.

The store’s offer changes daily, and products with damaged packaging, nearing expiration, overstocked, or products that are no longer in the assortment are placed on the shelves – all in excellent quality, up to 70% cheaper.

“PRÍMA OUTLET simultaneously offers favorable prices, high quality and a sustainable solution against food waste. We are proud that we have achieved tangible results in a short time: tens of thousands of products have been given a new chance, and our customers have saved millions of HUF.”

– said Péter Breier, owner.

PRÍMA OUTLET, as a member of the Breier Group, remains committed to creating customer value, sustainability and in addition to innovation. Products from the summer stock are now on the shelves of the OUTLET.

On the 100th day of operation of the PRÍMA OUTLET, it was also solemnly announced that our Príma store in Récsei Center, operated by the Breier Group, has signed an agreement with the Hungarian Food Bank Association. Its aim is not only to protect the environment by reducing food waste, but also to provide direct assistance to families in difficult situations. Thus, the PRÍMA OUTLET not only offers a smart alternative to conscious shoppers, but also creates real social value.

* The carbon dioxide savings estimate is based on the environmental footprint of an average mixed food basket. In the calculation, we assumed that the total net weight of the saved products is 16.6 tons, and the production and transportation of 1 kilogram of mixed food results in an average of 2.7 kg of CO₂-equivalent emissions. This method is based on a widely used industry average; actual values for individual product categories may be lower or higher.
