The food industry can rely on the agricultural vocational training system
In order to operate and maintain the innovative agriculture and food industry, well-trained specialists are needed – said Minister of Agriculture István Nagy on Monday at the Soós István Winery Technical University in Budafoki, according to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture (AM).
The head of the ministry explained that the food industry affects everyday life, and proper nutrition plays a key role in both health and social and economic development. Following the principle “from the field to the table”, vocational training has an essential role in this, he emphasized.
The announcement reminds: the government organized the secondary agricultural vocational training schools it maintains into five agricultural vocational training centers at the proposal of the AM. The purpose of this is to increase efficiency, concentrate resources, create a training offer based on an assessment of local economic needs, and make the best possible use of the opportunities provided by the new vocational training law.
