A Hungarian-Serbian border project to help the supply of specialists in the food industry has been launched
With EU support, a Hungarian-Serbian border project supporting the supply of professionals for the food industry and related services has been launched Let’s feed the future! (Feeding Future) – the Csongrád-Csanád Chamber of Commerce and Industry informed MTI.
According to their announcement, there is a shortage of well-educated professionals in the county of Csongrád-Csanád, as well as in the border region of Serbia, who would be able to meet the requirements of modern food production and the service industry. Among SMEs, as well as in the segment of the hospitality industry that focuses on hotels, cafes and restaurants (the HoReCa sector), there is a lack of adequate communication and digital skills, one of the reasons for this is that educational programs are slow to follow the changing needs of the labor market.
That is why the Faculty of Technology of the University of Novi Sad and the Csongrád-Csanád Chamber of Commerce and Industry launched the Feeding Future project for university students and businesses.
As part of the project, the Faculty of Technology of the University of Novi Sad will update the food industry courses with current content and elements, as well as expand the soft and digital skills of the instructors.
