The European Parliament's Environment Committee discussed about food labeling
The indication of nutrition information and the origin and location will be mandatory on food labels – among other things, the European Parliament's Environment Committee decided about these tasks.
Energy, fat, saturated fat, sugar and salt volume should be indicated legibly and in tabular form on all food packaging. To this list, the artificial trans fats were added by the commission. These informations should be indicated in 100 grams or 100 milliliters units. Indicating the daily amount is also recommended – reports penzcentrum.hu, after BruxInfo.
