The growth rate of food products moderated in the Czech Republic
In November, annual inflation decreased to 7.3 percent from 8.5 percent in October in the Czech Republic, the Czech Statistical Office announced on Monday in Prague.
In particular, the rate of growth of food and electricity prices moderated, while the price of fuel decreased. Inflation in November is still very far from the inflation rate of around 2 percent preferred by the Czech central bank.
“In most segments of the consumer basket, the price increase is moderated, this was most evident in the area of food, fuel and housing costs”
Pavla Sedivá, director of the statistical office, told journalists at a press conference.
