The rise in food prices drives up the inflation
Inflation rose in July, faster than expected, but this did not cause any particular surprise. The full year forecasts are the same, as the government’s expectations.
According to the most recent datas of the Central Statistical Office (KSH); consumer prices increased by 0.1 percent in July, compared to the previous month and exceeded the previous year's level by 4 percent. However, core inflation was 0.1 percent in July. On an annual comparision core inflation slowed to 1.3 percent from the 3.5 percent of June – reports privatbankar.hu.
