The EC has established an expert center to improve food quality
The European Commission has set up a knowledge center on fighting food fraud and dealing with food quality. It will begin to operate on Tuesday – the EU commission told on Monday.
According to the information, the creation of a knowledge center was justified by consumer concerns due to food scams and food quality problems and will be the task of a network of experts from and outside of the Commission. Its task will be to provide up-to-date knowledge to EU decision-makers and Member State authorities on food fraud and food quality issues. (MTI)
