Auchan to start urban farming
Auchan France has decided to make its ‘good, healthy, local’ slogan a reality by buying several hundred hectares of land, which Auchan hopes to turn into urban farms. The land is owned by Auchan in the vicinity of stores around Paris, and the retailer will involve local farmers and nearby residents in producing for the stores.
