Auchan stores will also be open on December 24
Auchan keeps its customers’ needs in mind when it keeps its stores open until noon on December 24. It has been observed for years that it gives people the security to be able to buy even at the last minute if necessary, and they are used to Auchan stores still being open on the morning of Christmas Eve.
This year, December 24 falls on Tuesday, when Auchan keeps its stores open in the morning and is available to the public. As retailers, they consider it most important to give customers the opportunity to buy what they still need for Christmas in the hours before the holiday, and they also think about those who only have time to buy a few essential things for the holidays at the last minute. Experience shows that – even if not en masse – minor inconveniences can occur just at this time: a broken decoration, a dead element that is needed for the burner line, a missing ingredient for the menu. These can be quickly replaced in the morning from the Auchans to make the holiday perfect.
However, there is another reason for opening hours in the morning: the store chain also meets the consumer demand that some of the customers want to buy fresh products such as bread or cakes for breakfast for the multi-day holiday. Auchan’s own bakeries will therefore continue to bake on the morning of the 24th, and new goods will also arrive in other departments, such as the fruit and vegetable department.
In addition to looking out for the interests of the population, the company naturally takes the interests of its employees into account as well. Instead of the statutory 2:00 p.m., stores will only be open until noon, so that employees working on December 24 can get home to their loved ones on time.
On December 24th, Auchan stores will open according to the usual Tuesday schedule, depending on the store, at 6 or 7 in the morning, and serve customers uniformly until noon, so that everyone can celebrate carefree in the evening.
