Apple is more expensive than banana
The price of apple rivals with the price of banana: the bananas delivered from thousands of kilometres are often cheaper than the most popular domestic fruits.
At many markets, a kilogram of apples cost four hundred HUF, while bananas are offered for 300 to 350 HUF. According to Lux Róbert, committee member of the Hungarian Interprofessional Organisation for Fruit and Vegetable, the reason is last year's extremely wet weather, that drove the prices up – reports szabadfold.hu.
