Emissions of animals and animal products increased by 10.4 percent
According to the results of the MSZR’s first forecast, in 2023, the value of total agriculture at the current price was 6.5 percent higher than 2022. Production costs increased by 0.2 percent overall, so the gross value added was 19.2 percent and the net entrepreneurial income from agricultural activity was 13 percent higher in 2023 compared to 2022.
According to preliminary data, the total gross release of agriculture exceeded HUF 4.3 billion, which increased further after 19.2 percent in 2022. According to the forecast, further growth is expected in 2023 by 6.5 percent. The volume of plant products increased by 44.4 percent, while the volume of animal and animal product production decreased by 0.5 percent, according to preliminary data. Producer price levels of crop production and horticultural products decreased by 28.2 percent, with live animals and animal products increased by 11.3 percent in 2023. Due to the change in volume and price, and considering production-related subsidies, the value of the emissions of crop production and horticultural products increased by 3.9 percent and the value of animal and animal products increased by 10.4 percent.
