Aldi plans to expand in Italy and Switzerland
Until 2020 Aldi Süd plans to open 80 new stores in Italy, 600-800m² shops with dedicated sections for fruit and vegetable, wine, food and baked goods. In Switzerland the retailer is planning to open 300 stores in the next decade. Since its launch in the country in 2015, Aldi has invested around CHF 1.5 billion in expanding its sales network.
