Low inflation stimulates consumption
Low inflation is stimulating consumption through the real value of wages and is expected to contribute to gross domestic product (GDP) growth as well – Balogh László, Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy, told M1 news channel on Tuesday.
Balogh László commented the April inflation data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) adding that the 0.2 percent annual consumer price growth was no surprise, because subdued inflation trends are in Hungary for two years, the Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy expect this for the next months as well.
