Sunflower production is good, but it is worth to store the crop, due to the low prices
In the second week of September, the harvesting of sunflower seeds has begun. According to the data so far, crops will not be outstanding because of drought, but due to the low price, it is worth store it – the Concordia Közraktár Zrt. told MTI on Thursday.
Calculated with the national average yields of 3 tonnes per hectare, a part of the 1.8 to 2 million tonnes of crops is expected to be exported as well, while prices significantly lower than this spring – Halmos Gábor, CEO of the Concordia közraktár Zrt. (Concordia Warehouse Ltd.) told in the communication. (MTI)
