Agriculture is a driving force of the Hungarian economy
Despite the challenges that the sector is facing, the performance of agriculture is a driving force of the Hungarian economy – Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture emphasized on Tuesday at the Forum for Hungarian Farming in Budapest.
The Minister explained that the output of agriculture was 2568 billion forints last year, which is an increase of 52 percent at current prices since 2010, and at a constant price a 27 percent growth. Agricultural exports reached a record high of around 9 billion euros last year, while exports increased by 52.2 percent between 2010 and 2017. (MTI)
