We can expect a car buying seizure this year
Many would abandon public transport in the long run due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to an international survey of EY 3300 involving consumers. The automotive industry must also be prepared for the sudden change in demand.
Nearly a third of those who used public transport would acquire a car within half a year, the primary reason is the fear of coronavirus infection. The most determined of these are those between the ages of 24 and 39, who make up about half of the first car buyers. Meanwhile, a fifth of owners are thinking of buying one more in addition to their existing car.
