Car-free IKEA to be built in Vienna
IKEA’s new Viennese store, which is expected to be ready in 2021, is a unique concept in the store chain’s history.
It will be located in the city center at the Westbahnhof instead of the suburbs and will be fully car-free, which is not a problem, as market research shows that two thirds of the dwellers of the downtowns do not have cars – Index wrote. The new furniture store designed for Mariahilfer Straße will be accessible by public transport, on foot and by bicycle. (index, Stubnya Bence)
