Unicoop opens autism-friendly supermarket in Florence
In Italy Unicoop Firenze has opened a new Coop.Fi supermarket in Florence, which has been developed as an autism-friendly store. The first such initiative in Italy is the result of cooperation with Autismo Firenze – an association of families with autistic children. Store staff has been specifically trained on recommended communication methods, plus special equipment also help shoppers.
