15 years ago, 239 thousand farms were in Austria with a size of an average of 31.8 hectares.

Now, there is only 175 thousand peasant farms, with an average area of ​​41.4 hectares.

The number of pig farmers suppressed dramatically. In 1995, 107 thousand farms were breeding pigs, now this number melted to 38 thousand – reports Világgazdaság Online.
