In August, passenger traffic at Ferihegy Airport increased by 78 percent year-on-year
In August, the number of passengers at the Liszt Ferenc International Airport exceeded 702 thousand, which is 78 percent more than in the same period of last year; this was the busiest month since the coronavirus pandemic broke out, Budapest Airport told MTI on Friday.
In the three months of the summer, more than 1.5 million passengers visited the airport, which is an increase of more than 92 percent from last summer.
The number of passengers per day was 2,000 per day in the first third of the year, but in August it rose to an average of 23,000 at Budapest Airport. (MTI)
