The purchase price of wheat decreased, while the price of baerley increased in August

The Magro Grain Index (MGX) showing the joint price movement of the Hungarian grains remained stable in August compared to the previous month. It is on 10,140.6 points at the end of the month at the Magro.hu agricultural marketplace.

The price of corn fell in line with the world market trend, albeit to a minimum. The average price odf wheat however declined significantly with 5 percent, due to the greater weight of feed wheat.

Based on market expectations, it seems probable that in the last quarter of the year, both the price feed and milling wheat will rise a few percent. In case of maize, there is a greater chance for stability.
