Auchan: French hypermarkets perform better
Auchan was able to grow again in the French home market for the first time in nine years. In particular the company’s hypermarkets – which have been under pressure for years – performed well: they did significantly better than Carrefour hypermarkets, growing by 2.4%. Checkout turnover was up 4.7% in France and Auchan said it managed to get back 250,000 customers.//
