Atradius: German economy gives hope to Hungarian exporters
After the moderate performance of the last two years Germany’s economy may gain momentum in 2014 and the GDP may grow by as much as 1.8 percent. According to Balázs Vanek, country manager of Atradius Credit Insurance, Hungarian enterprises can be hopeful: Hungary’s export to our most important foreign market was able to expand by 5.5 percent last year, after two years of stagnation. We exported to Germany in the value of EUR 21.1 billion in 2013. Firms in the automotive, machinery and building and construction sectors have the chance to profit from the German economic upturn the most.
