The school supplies fair has begun at Auchan, where customers will not have to worry about price increases this year, with prices not increasing on average. A starter package that will allow you to start learning can cost up to 5,000 forints. The average price of school supplies has not increased compared to last year, and this year, instead of 5%, customers can now take advantage of a 10% discount on family days in August using the OkAuchan app. The hypermarket chain offers more than 2,000 types of school products, from the most affordable private labels to premium offerings from well-known manufacturers. Anyone can find equipment that suits their needs and budget, and all in one place, until the beginning of September. Anyone who would like to help others can participate in the charity school supplies collection organized by the National Association of Large Families at any Auchan store until August 24.

Although the prices of school supplies have not increased, the start of school can be a financial burden for many families, especially if several children are of school age. For them, Auchan is organizing a charity school supplies collection this year together with the National Association of Large Families. Until August 24, you can drop off any extra products purchased at the collection points located at the exits of the stores, which the association will distribute to those in need.

The school supplies fair will last until the beginning of September, so even those who leave shopping until the last minute or only compile the exact list after the first parent-teacher conference can get everything in time. Auchan has been serving customers with a market-leading selection for years, whether it’s notebooks, stationery, pen holders or school bags, which are available not only in stores but also online.

In addition to the products of well-known big brands, the range also includes excellent value-for-money private label items, the popularity of which is constantly growing, thanks to their good quality and durability. They make up a quarter of the range, but the good news is that school supplies have not become more expensive compared to last year, and with regular weekly promotions, prices are falling even further. A basic package for a primary school child – which includes stationery, notebooks and a private label school bag – is available for around 5,000 forints. Bags from big brands typically start at 10,000 forints, but can cost up to 30,000 forints.

“Our customers will find the full range of products needed for the start of school, our notebook and stationery offer is particularly wide. The prices are similar to last year, and this year we will also provide families with a budget-friendly start to school. We are keeping in mind not only the needs of customers, but also the expectations of teachers: in previous years, the products that teachers requested on the school supplies lists were always the most purchased, and we are partners in ensuring that parents can obtain these at a favorable price, in good quality and in one place. And for those who would like to combine the purchase of school supplies with large purchases – now, in addition to the fact that we regularly finish among the top 3 market players in independent consumer price surveys – we will also offer special discounts to families in August”

– said Ildikó Balázs, Director of Corporate Relations, Communications and ESG at Auchan Hungary.
